STRIVE

Dear Friends,

Thank you. On June 30, we closed the books on the $50 million STRIVE Campaign, having raised nearly $51 million! This is a remarkable achievement, and we deeply appreciate your loyal support of a school that means so much to all of us.

The amount given by you and 5,266 other STRIVE donors over the past five years is impressive, but far more important is what these funds allow the school to accomplish:

  • New financial aid endowment helps support one of every four boys here, with the average grant covering almost 75 percent of tuition. (Of special note: our community rallied together to create a new scholarship honoring Headmaster Emeritus Vance Wilson.)

  • Our amazing new athletic fields allow 580 student athletes to practice, develop, play, and compete every day on state-of-the-art facilities. n Record Annual Giving increases our operating budget, allowing us to aspire to excellence in everything we do every day.

  • New endowment for faculty helps keep salaries for teachers in the top 10 percent of peer schools, provides benefits, and supports professional development.

  • New endowed chairs in the life sciences and in religion and chaplaincy honor great teachers while supporting their work.

We think the school has never been in better shape and are endlessly grateful for your generosity. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and boys, thank you again for making STRIVE such a success—and for helping to make St. Albans even stronger for a new generation of boys!

Located in Washington D.C.,  St. Albans School is a private, all boys day and boarding school. For more than a century, St. Albans has offered a distinctive educational experience for young men in grades 4 through 12. While our students reach exceptional academic goals and exhibit first-rate athletic and artistic achievements, as an Episcopal school we place equal emphasis upon moral and spiritual education.
